Warranty Coverage



Component Warranty Period
Frame 24 months
Electric Motor 24 months
Battery 12 months
Controller 12 months
Charger 12 months
Suspension, Brakes, Other Electrical Components 6 months

Warranty period starts from the date of delivery.

What Is Covered

  • Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship

  • Functional failure under normal, intended use

What Is Not Covered

  • Normal wear and tear (tires, brake pads, belts, bulbs, etc.)

  • Damage caused by misuse, accidents, or improper modifications

  • Damage from improper charging or use of non-approved chargers

  • Water damage beyond rated IP protection level

  • Cosmetic issues (scratches, dents, paint fading)

  • Routine maintenance and adjustments

How to Make a Warranty Claim

  1. Contact us at service@surmoto.com with your order number and a description of the issue

  2. Provide photo or video evidence clearly showing the defect

  3. Our team will review your claim within 3 business days

  4. If approved, we will guide you through the repair or replacement process

Shipping for Warranty Claims

  • Customer pays for shipping the defective part/unit to our service center

  • Surmoto pays for shipping the replacement part/unit back to the customer

  • For major components (motor, battery, frame), we may request the original part be returned for inspection

Important Notes

  • This warranty is non‑transferable and applies only to the original purchaser

  • Any third‑party repair or modification voids this warranty

  • We reserve the right to determine whether a defect is covered under this policy
